The Portenta H7 Lite Connected is designed to deliver the computing power of the Portenta H7 for AI applications and low-latency control solutions, but in a more cost-effective module (without a high-resolution video interface).
It bridges the gap between the full H7 and H7 Lite versions by integrating wireless connectivity, a certainly useful option for many users looking for the right combination of performance and simplicity.
The Portenta H7 Lite Connected simultaneously executes high-level code and real-time tasks thanks to its dual processors. For example, it can run code compiled for Arduino and MicroPython at the same time and have the two cores communicate via a remote procedure call mechanism that allows you to call functions on the other processor seamlessly for true multitasking. Machine learning algorithms can now run simultaneously alongside low-latency sensor/actuator interaction.
Both processors share all on-chip peripherals and can run:

Utilize H7 Lite Connected alongside a Portenta Vision Shield to transform your H7 into an industrial-quality camera capable of running machine learning algorithms in real time.
How H7 Lite Connected can easily run processes built with TensorFlow™ Lite. You can have one of the cores running a real-time computer vision algorithm, while the other performs low-level operations, such as controlling an engine or a user interface.
The Portenta family uses two 80-pin high-density connectors that allow you to easily connect these modules to other devices, without wasting space.
The module is programmed via the USB-C port, which can also be used to power the module or to power devices connected to it (it has OTG functionality).
Use your Portenta on Arduino's IoT Cloud, a quick and simple way to ensure secure communication for all your connected things. IoT Cloud has a free plan for 2 devices, with 100MB of storage and data retention for one day. (Other plans with more possibilities are available, but not free).
