Description

This is the first Arduino board created in collaboration with Raspberry Pi. The Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect is based on the Raspberry Pi RP2040 chip and is the first board to combine this microcontroller along with additional sensors and wireless connectivity.

This board has the Arduino Nano format and the same interfaces: USB, SPI, I2C, I2S, PIO, UART, PWM, digital/analog pins, but it has much more functionality.

The microcontroller is the Raspberry Pi RP2040, a dual-core ARM Cortex M0+ with a frequency of 133MHz, 264 KB of SRAM memory and 2 MB Flash.

It has 16 MB of extra storage Flash memory, outside the microcontroller, to be able to create larger programs and/or store more data.

The programmable I/O pins have functions that surpass many boards larger than this one: 22 digital signals, 20 with PWM and 8 with analog signal acquisition.

A microphone and a 6-axis motion sensor add a level of possibilities that is almost impossible to find on a board this size.

But what's really exciting are the on-board WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options. The extremely popular and highly adaptable U-blox NINA-W102 module is included to help you become a true IoT champion.

It also means you can harness the power of the cloud, with full Arduino Cloud compatibility.

This board can be programmed through the Arduino IDE environment in offline mode or in Arduino IDE Cloud online mode. Programming is done by connecting the board to a computer using a Micro USB cable or wirelessly using Arduino Cloud. Uploading the program to the Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect can be done remotely (over-the-air), which makes developing and installing IoT application updates much more practical.

As it is based on a Raspberry Pi microcontroller, it also has full support for programming with MicroPython.

The Nano RP2040 Connect comes with a free OpenMV license for using computer vision algorithms.
