Descripción

ProtoShield makes it easy to create custom circuits. You can easily solder TH (Through-Hole) or SMD (Surface Mount Device) ICs in the prototyping area to test them with your Arduino board. The SMD area is designed for a maximum of 24 SOIC (Small Outline Integrated Circuit) integrated circuit pins, and the TH area contains plenty of space for the necessary components around your project. You can even attach a mini breadboard (not included) to the prototyping area for weldless operation. The prototyping area also includes two power lines (IOREF and GND), two areas for LEDs and pads for SPI signals for boards that have SPI only in the ICSP header, such as the Zero board.

Main car
- 1.0 Arduino
Pin Schematic - ICSP Connection Area
- Area for 2 LEDs and resistors
- IOREF and GND
Power Lines - Pads for SPI
signals - Area for 24 SMD pins (50 mils pitch)
- OSH: Schematics
- Dimensions 68x

Power:
Proto Shield brings power from the Arduino's standard IOREF and GND pins to the two rows of power bus located between the prototyping area with holes, which can be used to properly power your project independently on the chosen board (3V3 or 5V).

SPI Connection:
On the ICSP connector, only 5V and GND are connected to the respective pins on the header. MOSI and MISO are only present on the connector and the extra pads nearby.

Physical Characteristics:
The maximum length and width of the Proto Shield PCB are 2.7 x 2.1 inches, respectively. Three screw holes allow the shield to be attached to a surface or housing. Note that the distance between digital pins 7 and 8 is 160K (0.16"), which is not an exact multiple of the 100K spacing of the other pins.
