Descripción

The MKR WiFi 1010 is a replacement for the original MKR1000. Now the WIFI module used on the board is based on the ESP32 instead of the WINC1500 of its predecessor.

With the ublox module, based on ESP32, the board has WIFI and Bluetooth communication capabilities, with greater communication flexibility and consumption management.

The board also comes equipped with an ARM Cortex M0+ microcontroller, from Microchip's SAMD21 family.

Both the SAMD21 and ESP32 are available to the user for independent programming. This allows distribution of the workload between the two processors.

The board also has a secure authentication module, Microchip's ECC508 - which uses cryptographic authentication to protect communications and TLS network connections.

A Li-Po battery charging circuit was also included, allowing the board to operate on battery power, or when powered by an external source, charge the battery.
